The LG G4 Is Right There Next to the Big Boys

If you’re an Android user, 2015 is a good year for you.

Almost every major smartphone company has turned up the heat in terms of bold quality designs and peak performance. Camera picture quality has also been high on these upgraded feature lists.

Until recently, Samsung’s Galaxy S6 has been the undisputed top-dog Android smartphone available. Tuesday however, LG came out with its G4 smartphone running Android 5.1 Lollipop, and it is the toughest blow-for-blow device out there.

The G4 has an amazing 5.5-inch QuadHD display with an IPS Quantum display, which is a screen with colors as accurate as the monitors used by professional color graders. The phone is incredibly fast with the Snapdragon 808 processor and 3GB of RAM.

The 16-megapixel camera is super fast to launch and the image quality is incredible. LG says it can even go up against photos taken by DSLR cameras. And forget the 5-megapixel selfie cam from Samsung S6, theirs is  8-megapixels. Selfie takers will delight in, well … themselves!

Let’s not forget the removable 3,000 milliamp-hour battery, microSD card slot and leather cover options.

How does the G4 compare to its biggest competitors?

Check out a simplified breakdown: If you want the best cameras, get the LG G4 or the Galaxy S6. If you want the best speakers, get the HTC One M9. And if you want the biggest screen with an unaltered version of Android 5.0 Lollipop, get the Nexus 6.
