Upcoming in the next few months are a very good selection of movies on video and VOD.  Genre’s include romance, children’s/family animation, horror, drama, comedy and action films on DVD/Blu-ray/VOD/Digital HD and 4K.   The releases are of titles that were  in theaters,  on TV series as well as direct to video.  We will be updating the column so please frequent our Video Release page. The films may also be available on VOD or just Digital HD so look for the download information inside the video release box.

Knight Fall: Season 2- DVD

KNIGHT FALL: SEASON 2 The march to war begins between King Philip of France and his sworn enemies, the Knights Templar. Poms- DVD

POMS is an uplifting comedy about Martha (played by Diane Keaton) a woman who moves into a retirement community and starts a cheerleading squad with her fellow residents, Sheryl (Jacki Weaver), Olive (Pam Grier) and Alice (Rhea Perlman), proving that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.

 

 

Tolkien- Blu-ray/DVD

TOLKIEN As a young student, J.R.R. Tolkien finds love, friendship and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts. Their brotherhood soon strengthens as Tolkien weathers the storm of a tumultuous courtship with Edith Bratt and the outbreak of World War I. These early life experiences later inspire the budding author to write the classic fantasy novels “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings.”

 

Pokemon: Detective Pikachu- 4K, Blu-ray/DVD

POKEMON: DETECTIVE PIKACHU Ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son, Tim, to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry’s former Pokémon partner, wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth Detective Pikachu. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to work together, as Tim is the only human who can talk with Pikachu, they join forces to unravel the tangled mystery.

The Tracker- VOD

THE TRACKER In 2008, Loke Hakansson was taking a family vacation in the south of Italy when his wife and his daughter have been kidnapped. Following an attempt of exchange gone awry both wife and daughter have been killed. Ten years later, Hakansson is contacted by a local detective who has re-opened the case and has new information. Reluctantly, Hakansson travels back to Italy to meet the detective. When he arrives he discovers that the detective has committed “suicide”. To his dismay, Hakansson is trapped into a web of deceit that forces him to acts of violence to understand what happened to his family.

All is True- DVD

ALL IS TRUE is a portrait of William Shakespeare during the last three years of his life, as he leaves London and returns to his family in Stratford-upon-Avon. The film follows Shakespeare as he strives to bridge the distance between himself and his wife and two daughters, recover from the loss of his son, and come to terms with his legacy as an artist.  Branagh and screenwriter Ben Elton start with the known facts about Shakespeare’s life during that time and attempt to fill in the gaps with what Shakespeare seemed to reveal about himself through his own writings.

Saving Zoe- Blu-rau/DVD

SAVING ZOE It’s been a year since her older sister’s murder, and Echo is still far from being completely all right. Echo has been trying her hardest to be the strong one, while her mother takes too many antidepressants and her father works too much. Now, at the start of her freshman year of high school, Echo receives an unlikely gift from Zoe’s old boyfriend: her diary. Echo is hesitant to read it but can’t put it down after she gets caught up in Zoe’s secret life.

The Secret Life of Pets 2- 4K, Blu-ray/DVD
