We Bought a Zoo will be out on DVD April 3, 2012. This heart-warming film centers around newspaper columnist and adventure writer Benjamin Mee (Damon), a single father facing the challenge of raising two children on his own. In an attempt to make a fresh start in his life, he decides to buy a house outside of the city and discovers it is a little more than he bargained for.
He soon finds out there is a rundown zoo nearby, the Rosemoor Animal Park, that houses dozens of animals. Enter zookeeper Kelly Foster (Johansson), who of course wants him to help bring it back to life.
Mee decides to help build up and reopen this raggedy zoo with the help of Kelly, his family and other people in the local community. Now he not only writes about adventure, he lives one.
The blu-ray combo pack will have the blu-ray disc, a regular DVD and a digital version of the film, complete with deleted and extended scenes.
Extras will include a gag reel and audio commentary with director Cameron Crowe, star J.B. Smoove and editor Mark Livolsi.
