Video Releases December, January & February

Check out the Holiday video releases and those that are becoming available in January. Some are the hottest blockbusters from 2015 now  on Blu-ray and DVD.  The genre’s range from action thriller, horror  to comedy and include some long awaited theatrical hits. We will be reviewing select titles so check back to get opinions from our writing staff.  You might also discover an indie gem that you didn’t know existed or a hilarious comedy to brighten your day. Whether you’re on the lookout for horror, action-adventure, drama, comedy, crime or lifestyles— the list below has a lot to offer.

Toyko Tribe- Blu-ray/DVD

It also contains past interviews with Winehouse and current ones with her family, friends, colleagues and physicians.

90 Minutes in Heaven- Blu-ray/DVD

90 minutes90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN Don Piper is a Baptist minister on his way home after a minister’s conference when tragedy strikes in the form of a collision with a semi-trailer. When paramedics arrive on the scene, Don is pronounced dead immediately from the severity of the wreckage. For an hour and a half after he’s pronounced dead and the paramedics clean up the wreckage, something strange happens to Don Piper. He finds himself in Heaven, meeting with old friends and family who have passed away, experiencing the reward he knew awaited him at the end of his life and joining in with the faithful followers as he now belongs with them. He Named me Malala- DVD/VOD

HE NAMED ME MALALA tells the remarkable true story of teenage Malala Yousafzai, who was attacked by Taliban gunmen in Pakistan for advocating for girls’ education. Rather than be silenced, Malala emerged as a global voice for the education rights of all children, and in 2014, she became the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize recipient. The documentary offers an intimate look into Malala’s life both before and following the attack. Sleeping with Other People – DVD/Blu-ray

SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE n 2002 Lainey causes a scene in a dorm. Taking pity on her as she is about to be kicked out by security, Jake claims her as his guest. He learns that Lainey was there in order to lose her virginity to her T.A. Matt who Jake thinks is the most boring guy in the world. Lainey eventually realizes that Jake is also a virgin. So begins a relationship headed for disaster.

The Visit – DVD/Blu-ray

THE VISIT Two children are sent to their grandparents house to spend a week with their grandparents while their single mom goes on a relaxing vacation with her boyfriend. Suffragette – DVD/Blu-ray

SUFFRAGETTE A drama that tracks the story of the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement, women who were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State. These women were not primarily from the genteel educated classes, they were working women who had seen peaceful protest achieve nothing. Radicalized and turning to violence as the only route to change, they were willing to lose everything in their fight for equality – their jobs, their homes, their children and their lives. Maud was one such foot soldier. The story of her fight for dignity is as gripping and visceral as any thriller, it is also heart-breaking and inspirational.
