Brooklyn Ski Club’s Matt Kerestesy and the Smell The Glove crew are switching gears this summer, putting on a barbecue and a show in Brooklyn on select Sundays throughout the coming months. In cahoots with Nickels & Dimes (not the penny savers, but these dudes) of Smell The Glove and FORlokals fame, Brooklyn Ski Club have just announced the Kings County Cookout event series, set to kick-off this Sunday June 12th at Lady Jay’s in Brooklyn, NY. The event series will feature some of New York’s finest country, bluegrass and blues inspired bands. Kings County Cookout’s first go ’round the stage and pit gets underway this Sunday with THE DIXONS and gourmet BBQ by grill master Lex Taylor (plates are only $5).
The BBQ starts at 3PM and bands go on at 4PM. All of this takes place on the back patio at Lady Jay’s and is sponsored by Blue Point Brewing and Tito’s Vodka.
