Tom Gegax, co-founder and promoter of Tires Plus tells all in this documentary that encompasses most of his adult life involving building his existence within the American challenge. The story behind Confessions of a CEO is not unlike many who have gone from rags to riches and survived the rough road taken. In this one, Gegax lays out ways to avoid defeat under even the worst of odds. If you are a person who has the fortitude, personality, drive and the ability to rise from your failures, then this is a must see. However, just like the slew of documentaries available on most streaming platforms, it’s not entertainment.
Well put together and filmed using a plethora of justification in recorded video and personal archives that are meaningful to show Tom Gegax’s past, the well-meaning film keeps a compelling pace. Co-Directed by Eric Gardner and Gegax, the film gets deep into subjects like building a future, climate, treatment of employees, healthcare costs, wealth, immigration and corporation owners that are controlling America, none of which is overly politicized. The production value is very good and should show well on your home TV.

However, Confessions of a CEO plays like an infomercial or product ad that keeps on going for nearly 1 and 1/2 hours before the final cost of an item or what the product can do for you is revealed. Here you are hard pressed to do what Gerax accomplishes nor his books a road map for more than a few. I am not suggesting that along the way many viewers may not get some value in what the subject of the film has to offer, so if you are a budding entrepreneur for example it’s certainly worth your time.
