Disney Short Film Collection includes Oscar Winner

The Walt Disney Company has released a collection of animated shorts on Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack. The twelve cartoon features are some of the top selections from their Animation Studio and includes 2015’s Oscar Winner. They are family friendly, comical, heartfelt as well as inspirational and informative. Some were never released in theaters and each has a personality all its own. This collection has some of the better productions ever put together for home viewing.

FEAST short photoThe collection includes the following twelve animated short films:

“John Henry” a fun classic that has been in Disney’s vault for a very long time. It’s a folk tale told by Polly about a strong black man who was strong of body and heart. It tells a story about John and how he help build the railroad.
“Lorenzo” is about a cat who finds itself being cursed to dance to the Tango with his tail.
“The Little Match Girl” tells the heartfelt story of a young street urchin who peddles matches for coins. One of the best shorts in the batch.
“How to hook up your home theater” features Goofy who just has to have the biggest TV and electronics for the big football game.
“Tic Tock Tale” is about a clock whose bravery saves the day.
“The Ballad of Nessie” takes you to Scotland and the beginning of Loch Ness where a young dinosaur finds the value of never giving up.
“Tangled Ever After” shows the wacky wedding of Tangle’s two main characters Rapunzel and Eugene. One of the funniest of the collection.
“Paperman” is the story of a young man and how he accidentally found love at first sight. Very touching and romantic.
“Get a Horse!” is one of the first cartoons from the Disney Studios and features the original Mickey and Minnie Mouse in an adventure. The cartoon goes from black and white to color.
“Feast” is the 2015 Academy Award Winner in the Animated Short competition. It follows a stray dog who’s looking for food anywhere he can get it.
Snowman cake“Frozen Fever: The final selection is the funniest and best made short on the disc. It was originally presented as the lead-in to this year’s live action Cinderella. Its and immediate classic and a chance to have it for you and your children.

The special features include “@ Disney Animation: The short story about shorts hosted by actor T.J. Miller.

The collection has not been rated, but please take the time to watch the short films before deciding whether to show them to the very young.
