Looking for a little excitement for the evening? If you have a choice of several movies to choose from you can use the old rhyme “Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Moe” or you can visit HULU for their newest actioner Eenie Meanie and get ready for a hysterical thrill ride. A couple of upcoming actors Samara Wearing and Karl Glusman put on a show that will stick to you like the bottom of your buttered popcorn bowl even way after the thrilling finale. Now on HULU, send the kids to bed, put on your bunny PJs and hold on to the seat.
Edie (Samara Wearing), a former pathological getaway driver, gets suckered into pulling off the robbery of the century when her lover Jon (Karl Glusman) gets his 3 million dollar debt called in by Nico (Andy Garcia), a local mobster. Pregnant, unwed and not ready to take on the nearly impossible task, Edie plays along with the gig if it will save baby daddy Jon. When all the dominos start to fall one by one, it’s a race to stay alive.
The script starts out with an introduction to young Edie (Elle Graham) and director Shawn Simmons shows us what her daddy (Steve Zahn) has taught his 14 year old. He then flashes forward to the grown Edie (Wearing as an action queen) who had taken the crime path of bank robbery getaway driver, but she’s ready to put her past behind her. If you like a lot of wild and wooly, you’ll see more of her character go through enough danger to make your head spin. Of course it’s Simmons’s cameras that catch the stunts, extensive gun play and whole lot of fake blood, but it all looks real on your home screen.
Eenie Meanie has been rated R by the MPAA for violence/bloody images, pervasive language, nudity, some sexual material and brief drug use. For those that like watching a movie with explosive thrills this film is for you. Be cautious when deciding to allow immature children watch the film as it does have many scenes that are inappropriate for youngsters.
