A documentary feature, the film Eternal Spring, a production about China involving a TV Cable hijacking, opens in America. The film plays like a story of right versus wrong offering a script that puts the Falun Gong spiritual faction up against the ideologies of Communist regime in China.

It’s 2002 Changchun City, China and members of the banned Falun Gong spiritual group have made a decision to go on the offensive after they were forbidden by the Communist government as bad for the country. The plan is to cut into the cable lines that run throughout the city and broadcast their rebuttal video to the people in opposition of being silenced. Going against the one a Party system that will not allow religious freedoms, brought down a lot of violent repression on the citizens who wanted to continue the practice.

Like many documentaries, what the film Eternal Spring has presented offers a look into how the government handled the transgression. The government of China has been ruled by Communism since 1949. It has lasted in one form or another to modern day. While changes have been happening throughout with their political parties, they are mainly socialists with Chinese characteristics since 1978 when Chairman Deng Xiaoping introduced the process. In 2002 which is the era of the film, Chen Shui-bian was President of the Republic of China.
