FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
UNVEILS THE POSTER AND TRAILER DRIVE-IN STYLE
FOR THE 35TH ANNUAL EVENT
Fort Lauderdale, FL (August 14, 2020) – Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) unveils the poster and trailer for the 35th Annual cinematic event, Thursday, August 27 in a drive-in style setting at Pier Sixty-Six Marina South.
This year’s poster was designed by Andy Royston, an award-winning designer, fine art photographer, and public information specialist in the marketing department of Broward County Cultural Division. The trailer was conceived, shot, and edited by Brian Bayerl and Danny Wilson of GreenDoor East, Inc., a boutique production facility specializing in projects that require high quality film and video services.
Gregory von Hausch, President and CEO of FLIFF commented “Although the Covid pandemic has challenged our operations and plans, it has forced us to become more creative, resourceful, and therefore has changed our status quo in operations. Having the Drive-In as the venue for this event is has been tricky, but fun and exciting. Hey, FLIFF is 35 fests old. We’re going to embrace this wrinkle and make the most of it.”
Von Hausch will emcee the presentation and announce some of the exciting plans FLIFF has in store for their 2020 film festival.

In addition to the poster and trailer debut, the evening will include a live music pre-show featuring three local music talents: Cynfully Sweet, Ambori Jani, and Taylor Davis. Past FLIFF celebrity honorees will deliver messages via video, and a collection of FLIFF’s Best Shorts will conclude the evening.
Two gourmet food trucks, Captain Lobster and The Authentic Greek, will be on site and concessions will be provided by Pier Sixty-Six. Attendees can take selfies on the red carpet and with a special collection of cars provided by Russ G. Events, Classic Car Show producer.
Gates will open at 7:00pm with live music starting at 7:30pm. The poster and trailer presentation will begin at 8:15pm.
The event, hosted by Pier Sixty-Six, is presented by the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF), Twilight Features, and Epic Outdoor Cinema. Co-sponsors include: Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, the Broward County Cultural Division, and CVB’s Office of Film, Music, Fashion & Create.
Location: Pier Sixty-Six Marina South, 2150 SE 17 Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, on the SE side of the bridge.
Admission is per carload and must be purchased in advance at www.fliff.com
- VIP: $50 includes unlimited popcorn, Swag Bags and a $25 concessions coupon to be exchanged at Pier Sixty-Six Marina South stand.

- Option is available to add a $5 donation to benefit Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF).
Proceeds will benefit the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF), a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization.
FLIFF celebrates the 35th annual festival November 6 – 22, 2020. This year’s film festival will premiere over 150 American Indie and International films via a combination of Virtual Cinema presentations, Drive-In and Boat-In cinemas, Dinner and a movie at a variety of outdoors restaurants, and traditional screenings at theater venues with room to spare for social distancing, including: opening night at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and closing at Museum of Discovery and Science. Most screenings will be include a live virtual Q&A with talent.
Covid 19 Drive-In Safety Measures
Social distancing and masks are required when outside your car in common areas. Hand sanitizer stations are available in portable restrooms, concessions and at food trucks. Food may be ordered in advance at cartoooo.com/FLIFF and made available at the food trucks for pick-up or delivered to your car.
