When the world was shut down because of Covid 19, there were a few that continued their lives as it were. Tech Billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton), decides to invite his friends to an exclusive party on his private remote island in Greece, where things become interesting. There he plans to give them all a surprise Murder Mystery event and all of his friends are the suspects.
Among the party guests are Claire Debella (Kathryn Hahn) governor of Connecticut now running for Senator, Lionel Toussaint (Leslie Odom Jr) Scientist who works with Miles, Birdie Jay (Kate Hudson) former supermodel turned fashion designer, Peg (Jessica Henwick) Birdie’s assistant, Duke Cody (Dave Bautista) Youtube Podcaster and men’s rights activist, Whiskey (Madelyn Cline) Duke’s girlfriend and YouTube Channel assistant, Cassandra “Andi” Brand (Janelle Monae) A tech entrepreneur and Miles’s ex-business partner, and Famous Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig).
Surprised by the attendance of Mr. Blanc. Miles decides to take advantage of his visit and include him in his special event. From this point on things start to get interesting and run on a surprising path.
Director Rian Johnson does a spectacular job putting together this whodunit storyline. He continues off where he left off with his first installment with the Knives Out film in 2019. Rain pieces together an excellent tale that keeps you wondering what will come next. Including not only a secret plot but a glamorous location as well.
This funny enigmatic narrative will definitely entertain and bring you on a mysterious adventure you will never forget. You will experience a wonderful performance by all the characters throughout the film.
Final Comment: I based my grade on the outstanding storyline and fantastic performance.
