‘Puss In Boots: The Last Wish’ More Lives to Live

Your favorite lovable character is back and this time his adventure brings him to the edge of the world and against some fascinating individuals. The usual action and adventure follows but now there is more at stake and danger at every step.

Puss In Boots (Antonio Banderas), in his cocky way fights against a giant, while as he is winning he somehow loses his 8th life. Now he becomes very concerned about his final life and seeks somewhere to hide. In an attempt to be careful he finds a place where cats go to die. Here he meets Perro (Harvey Guillen), a Chihuahua, who pretends to be a cat and life becomes simple and safe.

When he finds out there is a star that will grant one wish he sets out on a journey to extend his life. Running into his long time friend and love Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) they find that they both have a common interest and mutual enemies on their trail. Together with his new found friend they face the dangers ahead and meet some interesting characters.

The Fairytales continue with these new entertaining acquaintances; Goldilocks (Florence Pugh), Papa Bear (Ray Winstone), Mama Bear (Olivia Colman), Baby Bear (Samson Kayo), and of course Jack Horner (John Mulaney). When common interests collide the quest never ends.

Director Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado put together a great adventure story that supersedes the first film by far. This tale brings them on a rollercoaster ride that will keep you intrigued throughout the narrative.

Final Comment: I based my grade on an outstanding storyline with great animation fun.
