“INDIANA JONES 4 FILM 4K BOX SET”

When it comes to choosing a series of films for your library for “Adventure” several come to mind. But, one of my top ten includes the Indiana Jones franchise. The first film, Steven Spielberg’s creation of George Lucas’s Indian Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark was a huge success and came out in 1981 and has since amassed $212 million plus. In celebration of its 40th anniversary of this film that the collection is being made available.

Fans of the daring archeologist grew as Steven Spielberg released a second Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 1984. In this adventure thriller we find Jones going to India in search for a mystical stone to save a village. Showing its strength, the box office winner came in second for the year. The film was in theaters for 31 weeks.

In 1989 Spielberg let loose with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade following Jones in search for the Holy Grail with his father. For me the exciting film had one of the most exciting chase scenes and still very memorable. The film came out second again for the year and again and landed a spot in movie theaters for 31 weeks.

Spielberg’s long awaited final entry in theaters, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, came out in 2008 some 19 years later. The plot included the secret behind a missing crystal in the shape of a human skull that the Soviets thought had magical powers. While it didn’t receive huge critical reviews, it came in third at the box office for that year and brought in over $317 million.
