Marvel Studios creates another spinoff of their highly successful Avengers franchise and it’s a smart move. Beginning on June 9th the TV series “Loki” steps onto Disney+ the highly successful streaming platform that recently aired The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The new series “Loki” is science fiction at its best with a very exciting storyline featuring Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. From big screen to the tube, you won’t notice a change in the villainous character. In fact the introduction is just a continuation and an answer to what happens after he was captured in Avengers: Endgame. But, there’s more to it as the God of Mischief becomes entrenched in his new adventure.
It’s a strange new world for Loki who has escaped from being lead down a hallway. Out smarting several of the superheroes he finds himself in the middle of a desert wasteland. It’s not long before he gets arrested by the Time Variant Authority and brought to their headquarters and put on trial. It’s an exciting beginning, one that includes many new characters and a lot of action.
Loki: Season One begins on June 9 with the first episode that clues you in on all that’s happening and a taste of where Loki will be tested in his new future. It continues with five other chapters, the last of which is the finale and possibly the beginning of Season Two. Chapters in the series are approximately 45 minutes long and each ends in a cliffhanger. You’ll have to wait a week for the next installment, but this new Marvel release is well worth it. The series has been rated TV-14 for high-intensity action scenes.
