The new album from the super-sized K-pop concept group NCT, was released digitally worldwide today. The physical edition will be released on October 16 in the U.S. The second album, Resonance Pt. 2, will follow soon afterward.
The mega-project features the 21 members of NCT 127, NCT DREAM and WayV … plus newcomers Shotaro and Sungchan, bringing the total number of members to 23.
Kicking off with an infectious whistle riff, “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” is an upbeat pop dance track with a hip-hop beat that features members TAEYONG, DOYOUNG, JAEHYUN, JAEMIN, LUCAS, XIAOJUN and SHOTARO. The lyrics convey a positive energy with a message for everyone to “make a wish” towards realizing their dreams. The English version of “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” will be available digitally as a bonus track.
Building on the themes of NCT 2018 Empathy, Resonance Pt. 1 celebrates the power of connecting through music and the powerful synergy and ripple effects that resonate from such a bond. From the start, NCT’s organic storytelling has been based on the fundamental concept of connection with one another through dreams and empathizing with one another to become one through music.
Each member’s unique talent and musical style has room to shine as they perform in a variety of smaller collaborative units – including NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM and WayV – over the course of the album.
NCT 2020 is: TAEIL, JOHNNY, TAEYONG, YUTA, DOYOUNG, TEN, JAEHYUN, WINWIN, MARK, RENJUN, JENO, HAECHAN, JAEMIN, CHENLE, JISUNG, LUCAS, JUNGWOO, KUN, XIAOJUN, YANGYANG, HENDERY, SHOTARO, and SUNGCHAN.
