‘Sing 2 – A True Musical Inspiration’

After breaking through and becoming a home town sensation, these special performers reach for the stars and make a run at the big time.  Another musical hit starring the same loveable characters that won everyone’s heart in the first animated film is back with another spectacular harmonious adventure.

Continuing to be a sold out show in the newly renovated Moon Theatre, Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), proprietor of the theatre and manager of these special performers, has aspirations of reaching for the stars for this wonderful group. After being turned down by Suki ((Chelsea Peretti), agent to famous producer Mr. Crystal (Bobby Carnnavale), Buster starts to lose his confidence. With a confidence booster from co-owner and former famous singer Nana (Jennifer Saunders), Moon plans to crash the party and bring his performers to Mr. Crystal in person.

Buster takes the entire gang, Meena (Tori Kelly),  Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), Johnny (Taron Egerton), Gunter (Nick Kroll), Ash (Scarlett Johansson), and Miss Crawly (Garth Jennings) and travels to this glamorous entertainment city to get their chance. There they meet some interesting characters, Klaus Kickenklober (Adam Buxton),  Porsha Crystal (Halsey), Nooshy (Letitia Wright), and Clay Calloway (Bono), that help make this a wonderful experience.

Director and writer Garth Jennings brings forth another spectacular animated musical encounter with this fantastic sequel to the original Sing masterpiece. Everyone of his characters brings inspiration to the screen as these loveable and talented performers find ways to be successful on stage. Garth perfectly places today’s and the past musical sensations throughout the film and with the right character to win everyone’s heart.

This feel good musical adventure brings inspiration for anyone searching to make things better in their lives. Seeing these characters work so hard to reach their goals can inspire anyone to succeed in grasping their own ambitions to make it to the top.

Final Comment: I based my grade on the spectacular music presented throughout the movie, and excellent storyline.
