Creating an icon, the film Raiders of the Lost Ark introduced Indiana Jones a professor of archeology who stops at nothing to get valuable museum objects. The film and its 3 sequels also added big scores for Harrison Ford who was already rising from the Star Wars. Even though Han Solo did put a notch in his belt, I feel this action adventure is his most memorable.

It’s 1936 with Hitler and his Nazi party entrenched in a Germany. All over Europe they are starting to feel his push for power. In the jungles of South America we find Archeologist Indiana Jones trying to avoid hostile natives as he reaches a cave where a golden idol is hidden. It’s the introduction to the man’s determination and agility to bring importance to the museum he collects for.
Hearing about an even bigger treasure, The Ark of the Covenant that supposedly holds the Ten Commandments, he becomes obsessed at finding the most elusive prize of all. But to do it he must fly to North Africa that is now occupied by the Nazis. They also want the Covenant because of its powers that will make the German Fuhrer invincible. So begins an exciting action packed film that moves at a fast pace like the up and downs of a roller-coaster ride.

First time released individually in 4k Ultra HD SteelBook, it’s like owning the Holy Grail of movies. Well almost. For fans and those who have not seen the movie in theaters, the 4K release is the next best thing.
