Disney+ Marvel Studios do it again with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier starring Anthony Mackie as Falcon. Look for some high flying antics in this opening episode featuring Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) who has an exciting battle with members of the criminal organization called LAF. Be expecting some familiar faces and some new ones too.
Returning to Washington we find The Falcon honoring the legend of Captain America by enshrining his shield in a museum that he acquired at the end of Avengers: End Game. With the world still broken, Falcon yeans for his missing friend and fellow hero. That is, until his former nemesis Winter Soldier James Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) turns up to team with him against some very evil characters.
Things slow down a bit while new characters are introduced, but not for long as the Flag-Smashers, a masked street gang rears its ugly heads. The series features Sabastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Don Cheadle as James Rhodey Rhodes/War Machine and Daniel Bruhl as Zemo.
The series has six episodes each an hour long and can be seen on Disney +. Avenger fans will be delighted that all the action is still wild and at high speed. All of the above takes place in the first hour, until more are released I will be in the dark like all of you.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has not been rated, but I expect a TV-14 for action violence and some disturbing images. My initial analysis with having seen this first episode and the trailer is 5 out of 5 Stars for Avengers fans and the same for anyone who loves exciting fantasy/sci-fi.
