A novel take on Jurassic Park the film The Jurassic Games: Extinction is now available on Blu-ray. It’s not Tron, a classic game put to film, but it does have a lot of action and pretty good storyline. Whether you are a gamer or would just like to delve into the challenging theme of this sequel it should work for you.
In this fast moving scenario we are introduced to a wicked TV show in a world where the most dangerous inmates waiting death at a prison are given a chance for getting off death row. Fending off many dinosaur species, the show is the most watched in the world and has ratings that no TV program has ever had. After dropping the inmate contestants into the special arena, something goes wrong with the AI. The only way to correct it is for one of the programmers to go inside.

I like the production with the game feel and much like other “game” genre films, it is fast and sometimes furious. My only concern is that the special effects are not stellar, but that may be me being a bit picky. If you are a gamer, even though this involves a TV show, this wild film should be on your radar.
The Jurassic Games: Extinction has not been rated by the MPAA, but contains violence, language and some peril. The film is targeted toward a teen to twenties audience. Now Playing on VOD, Digital and coming to Blu-ray July 22.
