The Muppets, a Kid Friendly Fun Film on Blu-ray

It’s been long time since I’ve seen a Muppet Movie and I really feel good seeing the gang again.  No, I’m not a youngster anymore, but if you like this wacky kind of stuff there’s no better time than now to feel young again.  Now available in a Wocka-Wocka Value Pack, The Muppets look great on my home entertainment center.  And as for bonus features, not many other Blu-ray discs have more.

The movie centers on Walter the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) who live in a small uneventful town.  Mary has always wanted go to Los Angeles and with it being an anniversary of sorts for her and Gary, it’s there they want to celebrate it.  Walter gets wind of the trip and invites himself since it’s the home of the Muppet Studios.  Giving in to his plea, the three take off to Hollywood.

They arrive finding the Muppet Studio in shambles and Walter gets sad at the site. When Walter discovers a plan by oil baron Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to dig for oil on the Muppet Studio property, Walter gets determined to stop the tycoon with some of his own ideas.

The fun in the film begins with Walter and Gary growing up at home in the small town.  As Gary gets taller Walter stays the same, but he doesn’t care because it’s love that keeps them together.  The film also features a fun telethon with Jack Black as celebrity host even though he never volunteered and a wacky confrontation with the oil baron.  It’s Muppets at their best with all the gang participating to save the Muppet Studios.

The special Wocka-Wocka Value Pack is available and has everything possible to make your Muppet home entertainment complete.  In this special disc set are the Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy, plus a download card that allows fans to own all the songs from the film’s hugely popular soundtrack from Walt Disney Records.
