Following the film Avengers: Endgame the world has been somewhat confused trying to adjust to all the changes, especially those who returned after a five year absence. Thor finds something is still missing in his life. Being lost and trying to find his place in the universe, the God of Thunder finds himself looking for a new team. With Thor: Love and Thunder a new adventure evolves putting Thor’s past in the rearview mirror.
With an evil God, Gorr (Christian Bale), starting to affect the Universe things are looking bad. Putting a new team together, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), along with stone man Korg (Taika Waititi-Voice) the ominous Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), come together with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The team faces off against Gorr “the God butcher”, setting up a wild and crazy battle against unsurmountable odds.
Evil begins to spread all over other the cosmos. Director, writer, and voice actor Taika Waititi does a good job of bringing the story to the screen. Excellent use of CGI mixed with live action and some awesome sets, makes it all look real. The cast, made up of superheroes that have been mostly serious in previous films, take a lot of chances with comedy and it works here. Waititi makes his film more of a “what just happened” kind of a movie where the audience is not always dealing with fire and brimstone, and this one lets each of the characters get in on all the fun.

However, be aware that Thor: Love and Thunder has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, language, some suggestive material and partial nudity. Some of the evil Gods are quite frightening, ugly and extremely violent so be sure to take this into consideration when youngsters are present.
