Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for a 6th season as our intrepid agents try to save humanity after the death of head honcho Phil Coulson. With Coulson gone, Mack is the new S.H.I.E.L.D. director. But Coulson could return as some sort of enhanced being. Season 5 ended with the team preventing a superpowered Glenn Talbot (Graviton) from cracking the Earth apart. Much of Season 6 will see the team searching for Fitz, who was left in a cryo-freeze chamber and shot it into space while most of the team was transported to the future.
Mack taking over for Coulson as the team’s new leader is sure to take its toll on his romantic relationship with Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez. While the two make a formidable team, there will be some tension between them. Mack is a planner and Yo-Yo is impulsive and always eager to act rather than plan.
