Bleach - Prepare for Battle

It has been a while since Bleach fans have enjoyed anything new from the anime series after it abruptly ended several years ago. Luckily, it looks like we fans will finally get more of Kurosaki Ichigo and gang.

After the cancellation of AnimeJapan 2020, many anime fans despaired, but it seems Bleach fans will not suffer too much.  The stage presentation celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Bleach will now go live online March 21 with Tite Kubo (the creator); Masakazu Morita (Voice of Ichigo Kurosaki), Fumiko Orikasa (Voice of Rukia Kuchiki), Ryotaro Okiayu (Voice of Byakuya Kuchiki), Hiroyuki Nakano (Weekly Shonen Jump Editor-in-Chief), Yoshiyuki Hirai of America Zarigani (MC).

This livestream will be broadcast in both English and Japanese on March 21 at 9:45 a.m. Japan timeYou can view the broadcast via this YouTube link (below) on the day of the online event:

There is a lot of speculation as to what the “special project” is that is in the works for the 20th anniversary. Considering many of the voice actors from the anime series are in attendance at the event, it stands to reason that whatever they have planned could in fact be a continuation of the anime series that launches into the next arc.

Of course, it could also mean there might be a video game with the voice actors taking up their roles in that as well, bringing to life the ULTIMATE BLEACH VIDEO GAME IN HISTORY (hopefully on the Switch). Well… Only time will tell… Maybe it is both?

Whatever it is, Tite Kubo and team will be showing off the first glimpse of the next project during the live online event. I don’t know about you, but I will definitely be there.
