The Comic-Con International: Independent Film Festival (CCI-IFF) recently presented the Science Fiction Showcase at the Comic-Con Museum in San Diego, CA. During the one-hour event, the audience was treated to three thought-provoking science-fiction stories that challenged the imagination and stirred emotions. The films have all been honored with the Best Science Fiction Film award at the CCI-IFF over the past 20 years.
Man vs. Woman
Written and directed by Juan Carlos Vargas, Man vs. Woman is a light-hearted science fiction action film that chronicles an explosive duel between four desperate scavengers—a man, a woman, a cloned velociraptor, and a heavily armed robot. Fighting for survival on a desolate, dry planet, the film stars Tiffany Shepis and Robert Reavis. The musical score takes one way back to Sergio Leone.

In the film, a gifted child makes an extraordinary effort for his people. Stars include Ameer Zhowandai, Navid Negahban, and Hannah Sher. A powerful film that reveals the true tragedy of armed conflict.
