Empire Queen: The Golden Age of Magic

Actors Chris Owens and Ceil Post talk about their cosplay fantasy film.

Chris Owens

The ultimate cosplay fantasy film Empire Queen: The Golden Age of Magic will world premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Originally inspired by his love for the fantasy genre, writer/director Chris Owens (a noted musician) released Shine on Me on YouTube, where its popularity skyrocketed. It was dubbed as “The Best Music Video of The Year” by The New Yorker and has amassed millions of views and a cult following. It was a passion of the fanbase that inspired Chris to fulfill their wishes and give them what they asked for – turning the world of Shine on Me into the movie, Empire Queen: The Golden Age of Magic.

Paying homage to classic fantasy movies like Harry Potter, Shrek, and Princess Bride, Empire Queen adds its unique twists. It’s an adventure film brimming with charm, danger, and heart. The film stars Owens and Ciel Post in the lead roles.

Ceil Post

Ciel initially found comfort behind the camera but transitioned to acting after studying improv and comedy to address ADHD                       and social anxiety. This new path led to her role in Shine On Me, a high fantasy music video that ultimately evolved into her                         Empire Queen movie character, Arra. Beyond the screen, Ceil teaches dance and expression to special needs children.

I was fortunate enough for both Chris and Ceil to join me for a brief interview:
