Being a famous performer does not always have the luxuries that most of us have, like finding a special someone that truly grabs your heart and soul. This unusual love story is about a man who comes back after many years in hopes of finding his one true love in an exotic place like Cyprus. What he discovers is not what he expected, and his life goes into a tailspin of emotion that presents him with many surprises that eventually lead him to an unforeseen outcome. 
Famous music artist John Allman (Harry Connick Jr.) comes back to Cyprus to Find his lost love. He purchases a small bungalow real cheap near a beautiful overlook of the ocean. After an incident that he witnesses, he is then told by Captain Manoli (Tony Demetriou), local police captain, that his house is very close to the most famous spot in his country for suicides. Learning this new information has John wanting to find a way to save his solitary new home and prevent these terrible acts that occur right at his front door.
With John trying to remain incognito, he struggles with going shopping for food. When he asks the local store owner, Koula (Lea Maleni), if they can deliver to his home, they send young singer Melina (Ali Fumiko Whitney). He then discovers that she is a talented singer, and she recognizes who he really is.
When John gets introduced to Sia (Agni Scott), a local physician and sister of Koula, by Captain Manoli, the story begins to take off. Here he finds out many things that he never expected when he began this journey to find true love. This story goes in all different directions, finally bringing you to a conclusion you will all surely enjoy. 
Director and writer, Stelana Kliris puts together a love story that develops into a slightly different storyline. The main character experiences small island hospitality which also includes a village of interesting people that somehow have the ability to know everyone’s business. She is able to keep the narrative on track and allow for some humor along the way. Kliris continues to also keep her main character’s emotional experiences, to be new encounters that help him realize the importance of his true journey. There is some tragedy and danger introduced that brings some concern to this character’s true being. By using a different approach, Stelana helps build the adventure into a good feel tale that involves a great performance by all the actors, including the performance by local actor, Agni Scott, who was born and raised in Cyrus.
This fun, enjoyable heartfelt journey establishes that anyone can find love even on a small island in the mediterranean. You can see this wonderful experience, which is currently on Netflix, and it is perfect for one of those rainy nights where you need to wind down for the evening.
Final Comment: I based my grade on the delightful storyline and excellent performance.
