It’s almost here – the day all galaxies far, far away celebrate like their “no” tomorrow is being sucked through a black hole inside a spinning vortex. Oh yes Star Wars fans, May the Fourth be with You is upon us. What is a Star Wars fan to do?
First, you must wear your Star Wars gear. If you prefer to be modest you can sport a regular ‘ol tee that shouts your adoration for the saga. If you really want to show your enthusiasm however, adorning a costume of your favorite character whilst preparing for a local event will be loads of fun — and gets you extra creative points.
Once you have decided on your attire, you must find somewhere to show it off. There are tons of locations worldwide that celebrate this Sci-fi holy day. If you are a South Florida resident, you can jump in your starship and make way for Tate’s Comics store on Sunday (May 3). These guys know how to celebrate.
Not only do you get 10% off Star Wars merchandise, you can meet Darth Vader, R2D2 and other surprise characters during the event. There are games, photo ops, refreshments, light saber assemblies and tons of fellow Star Wars enthusiasts to mingle with. (Just make sure you don’t make any of them angry, lest they take out their newly assembled light sabers!)
Yes, this event is technically the day before May the 4th, but Monday is somewhat difficult for most people — so if you’re looking to go to an event in your area, your best bet is to find something on the weekend (either Saturday or Sunday).

I write like I think—fast, curious, and a little feral. I chase the weird, the witty, and the why-is-this-happening-now. From AI meltdowns to fashion glow-ups, if it makes you raise an eyebrow or rethink your algorithm, I’m probably writing about it. Expect sharp takes, occasional sarcasm, and zero tolerance for boring content.
