There are so many things happening this weekend — Free Comic Book Day, the new Avengers movie is coming out and who can forget the May the Fourth Be With You festivities as well! What a fantabulous weekend ahead! Can you tell we are totally geeking out?
Free Comic Book day is always the first Saturday of every May. Comic fans young and old gather together to enjoy free offerings of comic books from tons of comic book shops across the country. There are over 50 titles to choose from this year. Fans will enjoy all shapes and sizes of comic fare, sure to peak the interest of the most particular comic fan – or those new to comics.
With everything from Dark Circle Comics, Fight Club the Goon Strain to the Doctor Who Special, Avengers #1 or Lady Justice, there is definitely a wide variety to choose from.
Don’t miss out on this fun day. Most places have a big event with character appearances, celebratory activities, food, vendors, fans in costume — and of course, free comic books!
