Actress Claudia Black talks about her upcoming character in the CW’s new mini series Containment. She plays Dr. Sabine Lommers, a Health and Human Services official, whose job it is to access a situation in Atlanta, Georgia that could prove detrimental to the entire world. A virus has surfaced that kills every single victim it inhabits. There is no cure. There is no vaccine.
Her particular character is never called to a situation unless it is dire. Those infected have no idea what awaits them. All access in and out of the city is closed down. No one can leave… No one will survive unless a cure or vaccine is found and administered. Total containment measures are taken.
Containment premieres on the CW April 19.
I write like I think—fast, curious, and a little feral. I chase the weird, the witty, and the why-is-this-happening-now. From AI meltdowns to fashion glow-ups, if it makes you raise an eyebrow or rethink your algorithm, I’m probably writing about it. Expect sharp takes, occasional sarcasm, and zero tolerance for boring content.
