Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Rainbow Chan is a solo artist with an adept ability to collect bits and pieces of life and sound to stitch them together into quilted, musical masterpieces.
There is a mixture of acoustic and electronic textures throughout each song. Whether live loops are created with music boxes, thumb pianos or vintage toys, lilting guitars or 8-bit keyboards, Chan experiments with all types of sounds and combinations to infuse a unique flavor of tunes that compliment her other-worldly voice.
Long Vacation has a hint of 90’s R&B, videogame soundtrack tunage and oriental folk music. It definitely leaves the listener in a dreamy state, like a vacation of the mind.
