In the newest sequel the “Boss Baby” returns to save the clan when their latest tyke takes over the “family business”. It’s a duel of the babies from the onset to the very funny finale. Nicely aligned with the first movie, this one moves along like a speeding roller coaster as it puts some modern day thinking to the test.

Uncle Ted (Alec Baldwin) returns to the household handing over a wad of bills to his niece Tabitha (Ariana Greenblatt) for school expenses while getting introduce to Tina (Amy Sedaris) the newest child of the Templeton’s. Later we find out that Tina is undercover for Baby Corp. She is now investigating Dr. Armstrong (Jeff Goldbloom) who runs a sinister school for babies who are set to help him take over the world.

It’s the beginning of a do or die effort that will take the three into the lab of the mad doctor putting themselves in danger. Director Tom McGrath (The Boss Baby, Madagascar) lifts the lid on the playpen and sets the wild and crazy action free in this chaotic adventure that’s a must see for tykes and pre-teens. Some of the more wacky scenes involve a frenzied chase, the very funny Acorn Center and a finale that seems to never end.

Even though the story may be a bit complicated for the very young, the visuals are enough to keep the youngsters entertained. As for messages, there are many including brotherhood, unconditional love and family. Included in the list of songs is a lively and meaningful “Together We Stand” and “If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out”.

The Boss Baby: Family Business has been rated PG by the MPAA for rude humor, mild language and some action. There are also a few offensive scenes that may be a bit more for adults than kids as well. However, most of those should go over heads of immature children, but are worth mentioning here.
