Journey of the Universe: Conversations, Now on DVD


This is the companion piece to the documentary film “Journey of the Universe” is now available on DVD.


Hosted by Mary Evelyn Tucker, this 10 hour / 20-part / 4-disc series integrates the perspectives of the sciences and the humanities into a retelling of our 14 billion year story. “Conversations” with scientists, historians, and environmentalists explores the unfolding story of Earth, the universe and the role of humans in responding to our present challenges.

Journey of the Universe is part of a trilogy that is comprised of the Journey of the Universe (the film), Journey of the Universe: Conversations (the series) and Journey of the Universe (the book, available from Yale University Press)

About Mary Evelyn Tucker: Mary Evelyn Tucker is the Executive Producer and co-writer of Journey of the Universe. She is a Senior Lecturer and Research Scholar at Yale University. Her specialty is religion. Her concern about the growing environmental crisis led her to organize with John Grimm a series of 10 conferences on World Religions and Ecology at the Center for the Study of World Religions at Harvard. Tucker and Brian Thomas  Swimme have worked together for over 25 years and together they collaborated on Journey of the Universe.
