Hip-hop and soul (some people call soul-hop, harr) artist Richard Andrew, aka Outasight shared a new track with us yesterday. “Setting Sun” is a bit of a taste of his upcoming new album, which is as yet un-named and has no release date scheduled. The track is getting steady buzz around the blogosphere, though. Come on in and see why …
This came as a result of a promise kept to fans that once the artist hit 10,000 likes on Facebook and 7,000 followers on Twitter he’d release a new song. It’s also off the heels of his recently released and well received EP Figure 8, which is available on iTunes.

With “Setting Sun” Outasight blends some encouraging and crisp lryrics with warm vocals that form the perfect diversion to the ferocious pull and tug of summer. The hook “I hope this day is never done, no need to see the setting sun,” is indicative of a feeling permeating the sweltering heat currently melting people into the streets this season. Defiant thrill seekers are still out there having a good time, despite the threat of heat stroke. More than that, “Setting Sun” strikes as a narrative chronicling the life long struggle of an eternal optimist.
Without complication, it’s a pretty chill addition to any summer playlist.
