“GIRLS ON FILM” Provocative and Evocative

Girls on Film (Willow Grey) from Breaking Glass Pictures

One of the most provocative films this year, Girls on Film is being released on VOD platforms. The movie features some excellent acting, a predictable storyline and adequate cinematography that brings the message to the screen. Mixed messages are abound and there are no holds barred when it comes to intimate sensuality.

Jenna (Dare Taylor), who has named herself Rain for her salacious website where she presses viewers to send her money to go deeper in revealing her gorgeous body, has just been evicted from her apartment due to her show. Luckily she finds out about someone that needs a roommate. Arriving at the home of Blake (Willow Grey), she is impressed by the exclusive secluded mansion and the gorgeous young woman by the pool.

After an introduction, Rain realizes that she is familiar with her website. It begins a strong attraction that will take Rain into a world for which she was not ready. Writer and director Robin Bain does a very good job of melding the two different characters into a seductive relationship. Nearly prurient, but saved by artistic sensuality, the film becomes steamy, contains realistic situations and a complex storyline that keeps it interesting.

Both Dare Taylor and Willow Grey are terrific in their roles making the film very realistic. The “love” between the two is fiery and titillating showing the power of attraction and the empathy of their character’s relationship.
