Matt Smith – The Doctor No More

Matt Smith as Doctor Who

Over the years we have experienced many different shapes and sizes of Doctor Who. And of course, each time every new Doctor was scrutinized and compared to all the previous Doctors … but eventually, each was loved for who he was in his own new and glorious way.

Matt Smith as Doctor Who 2013

When I was first introduced to Matt Smith as the new Who I was skeptical, but I must admit, he did a fantastic follow-up to David Tennant. And now it is time to prepare our scrutiny for yet another new Doctor on the horizon.

Doctor Who has been the most brilliant experience for me as an actor and a bloke, and that largely is down to the cast, crew and fans of the show.  I’m incredibly grateful to all the cast and crew who work tirelessly every day, to realize all the elements of the show and deliver Doctor Who to the audience.  Many of them have become good friends and I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the last four years,” says Matt Smith.

Matt will return for the 50th anniversary episode on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Something no respectable Doctor Who fan will want to miss. It is this episode where fans will watch with tear-filled eyes, the loss of yet another beloved Doctor, only to await with eager hearts and open minds for the next lucky ducky to assume this prestigious role in the world of sci-fi.

With each change the Doctor seems to get better and much more interesting. What will be in store for Who fans next? A woman? Another man? A strange alien beast with five horns on his head and three fingers on each hand? Who knows. But one thing is for sure — it will be an adventure!

Thank you Matt Smith for making bow ties COOL.
