“SUNRAY: FALLEN SOLDIER” Exciting & Compelling

A scene from "SUNRAY: Fallen Soldier"

Very compelling, the British film Sunray: Fallen Solder comes to America featuring a dose of revenge and retribution dealt out with realism by ex-British Soldiers. From the exciting beginning to a finale that blasts its way across the big screen, the move is almost completely non-stop action. Not for the squeamish or youngsters, this out does the violence in video games like Call of Duty and Brothers in Arms. What you will be watching will look authentic as the film is laced with the former British Royal Marines Commandos in most of the main roles.

Ex-military captain Andrew Coleman (Tip Cullen) is suffering from PSTD and earning a meager living employed at a local hardware store. With his quality of life going downhill it takes a turn for the worse when his daughter Rachael (Saskia Rose) unwittingly gets overdosed with a drug at a party. Finding out that the drugs where supplied by a notorious cartel, he calls up his former squad members to help him track down its dealers and eliminate them. But the evil syndicate that protects the rogues fights back.

Directors James Clarke and Daniel Shepherd do a terrific job of keeping the script on point using Andy’s flash back military career and mixing it with his desire to put an end to the drug lords. They open the film with and exciting flash ahead action scene, then develop the main character while he fights against all odds. So the film does not get boring, he adds side characters that are involved with the syndicate and the boyfriend of the character Rachel to keep the film intriguing.

Sunray: Fallen Soldier has not been rated by the MPAA, but contains language, bloody violence, drug use, gore, and smoking. Make sure you stay for the credits as there is one very important final scene. I recommend the movie for those who like action thrillers that keep you glued to your seat.

“The events and characters depicted in this film are entirely fictional. Some of the topics raised may be distressing or triggering for some viewers.” Director James Clark.
