The 100 Launches into Orbit on CW this Fall

The 100 on the CW

The 100 is a new series coming out on the CW this fall. It is based on the upcoming book series by Kass Morgan that depicts a society of humans after a nuclear holocaust has occurred on Earth — and the only survivors were located on orbiting space stations (400 people to be exact).

After 97 years, there are well over 4,000 inhabitants living in space. Those who run the connected space stations discover a flaw in the engineering, and must try to repopulate the Earth once more, even though it may be too soon after the nuclear fallout.

This new “space existence” is full of hard rules and even more stringent consequences. Anyone over 18 is put to death for any crime … even the crime of disagreeing with those higher up …

To find out whether people can survive on the planet once more, 100 juvenile prisoners (under 18) are sent down to the surface to determine the condition of the radiation-ridden planet.

There they find strange wild life, beautiful abnormalities and a scary realization that they are not “alone”.

After screening the first episode of The 100, I have to say it definitely grabbed my attention. I was not expecting much to be honest, but I was pleasantly surprised. Now I wish I could see the next episode to see what happens next!

The 100 stars newcomer Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco (Damages), Kelly Hu (X-men United), Isaiah Washington (Grey’s Anatomy), Alessandro Juliani (Battlestar Galactica), and many more.

Check it out this fall on the CW. I know I will!
