The Village Voice Announce Full 4Knots Lineup

Last week we told you about the exciting location change, re-branding and initial lineup of headliners for The Village Voice’s extremely popular decade-long running Coney Island staple, the defunct Siren Music Festival. It is now called 4Knots Festival and being put on July 16th at the South Street Seaport. Today, The Village Voice just announced the full and final inaugural band lineup. All the buzz is building steadily for the fresh festival blood to produce some awesome happenings down by the river. Read on for more info …

This is 4Knots’ debut and so far so good. Joining headliner The Black Angels and performers Davila 66 and Oberhofer are indie-punk band Titus Andronicus, the Brooklyn-based Obits and Eleanor Friedberger of The Fiery Furnaces.

Bud Light is the title sponsor for the free, all day, all ages music festival, so there’s that for the (of age) kiddies! Additional sponsors include: XL Energy Drink, Metro PCS, Dialogue in the Dark, Bodies the Exhibition, Pop Chips, Institute of Audio Research and The New York Times.

The festival is located at the South Street Seaport in New York, where there will be lots of other things to see and do. The neighborhood where 4Knots Music Festival will be held offers attractions, shops and restaurants for every taste. It is easily accessible by subway, car, ferry or bus.

A full run down of the day, including other on site activities will be announced shortly.

You guys, you need to hot-foot-it down to New York’s Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport this summer (July 16th) and enjoy some free festival goodness courtesy The Village Voice. We hope to see you there.
