‘Dungeon & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ Brings High Adventure

Based on a popular role playing game that has been going through many film rights lawsuits over the years, is now finally released. An adventure that takes place during medieval times, allows long-time fans of the tabletop quests to finally get to see their escapades on the big screen. Searching for truth, and finding gold can now be everyone’s true path calling.

Dealing with the tough conditions during the dark ages, many people had to find ways to survive. From the many choices they made things could turn out disastrous. Most turned to finding ways to endure the dangers the world provided, while others suffered and followed what life gave them. But throughout these changes they all found a way to overcome what they encountered or they all perished.

REGÉ-JEAN PAGE plays Xenk and Jason Wong plays Dralas in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves from Paramount Pictures and eOne.

Trying to provide for his daughter, Kira (Chloe Coleman), former Harper Edgin Darvis (Chris Pine), a musician, thief and adventurer, goes on many explorations with close personal friend Holga Kilgore (Michelle Rodriguez), a barbarian fighter, to make enough money to survive. During these many adventures with their long time friends, Forge Fitzwilliam (Hugh Grant), rogue, and Simon Aumar (Justice Smith), sorcerer, these band of misfits find many different predicaments to get themselves out of.

After a failed heist, Edgin and Holga find out how tragic things will be without Kira and must find a way to get her back. With help from Simon, a tiefling druid Doric (Sophia Lillis), and a paladin called Xenk Yandar (Rege-Jean Page), they go on a quest to get Kira back. They also discover another journey that they must encounter, and that is to save the world they all live in.

Sophia Lillis plays Doric, Justice Smith plays Simon and Michelle Rodriguez plays Holga in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves from Paramount Pictures and eOne.

Director and writers John Francis Daley and Jonathon Goldstein do a fantastic job recreating this fantasy world. They take into consideration many character traits throughout this presentation, along with the special effect creations to help make this story blend into its surroundings. By incorporating realistic computer generated backgrounds, creatures, and character generated magic, Dungeon and Dragons can now be seen with the intentions it has always been meant to be viewed.

This excellent experience will bring you into a realm that many could only imagine and now can be encountered by all. Along with great dialogue and with a spectacular storyline we can now confront the monsters and fantasy personalities we have all dreamt about.

Final Comment: I based my grade on the wonderful special effects, marvelous storyline, and humorous dialogue.
