Remembering our heroes in their many adventures, starting from the beginning where we learn about most of our characters’ pasts, and moving to the origins of some of them. Then comes the purge with the Avengers Infinity war, where we lose many of our heroes for five years and then they return in the Avengers End Game. This string of worlds have all collided and now we finally get to see how some of our favorite characters came to being, when the universe now faces a villain who demands perfection.
Our champions have had many adventures and the story continues on with many more to come, but some of our friends we really don’t know much about. For instance, where does Rocket (Bradley Cooper (Voice)) come from? Is he really a racoon or some sort of alien race we have not discovered as of yet? What is he really hiding from everyone, including his closest friends? Everything will finally come to light in the strong emotional adventure that will give us all the answers we have been searching for.
Now established as the true Guardians of the Galaxy, our team has taken office on the planet of Knowhere. Here Peter Quill/Star Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel (Voice)), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Kraglin (Sean Gunn), and Rocket have began to build their new offices and to plant there roots. They have also gained some new friends like Cosmo the Spacedog (Maria Bakalova), and others that have taken refuge on the planet. Things are looking up for the team until they are attacked by Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), a cosmic being genetically engineered to be perfect and the next evolution of humanity.
With the guidance of Alyesha (Elizabeth Debicki), the golden high priestess of the Sovereign, and the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), Adam has direction to seek vengeance on the Guardians. Needing help from the only true friends he knows, Peter contacts Stakar Ogord (Sylvester Stallone), leader of the ravagers, and there they gain an alliance that they need to stop the impending doom they now face.
Developing the origin story of Rocket, Director and writer James Gunn pulls out pure emotion and brings us into the pain and anguish this character had to endure to survive this cruel environment. He presents this world where the creator wants to design the perfect society, but to do so he has to experiment on many lives to finally come up with the correct formula. Gunn clearly shows us what this place was like and what inhabitants had to do to try and survive. James goes even further with the spectacular special effects that make you even feel that you are actually on the ride and a fantastic storyline that brings everything all together.
This great awesome adventure with an excellent soundtrack will grab your attention throughout the storyline. There are many strong emotional scenes as you learn the true origin story of our favorite hero Rocket and it will bring these loveable characters all together one last time to save all of humanity.
Final Comment: I based my grade on the wonderful touching scenes, spectacular storyline, and the sensational experience of the actual movement.
