‘Treasure Trackers’ Racing Time to Stop the Madness

This exciting kids adventure will bring you some joy as you follow them on their journey for treasure. Every move carries you in many different directions as these young adults try and find the secret to the town’s history before someone else does. Stumbling along the many riddles before anyone else can, becomes a difficult road, as we follow our heroes into the path of this town’s past.

During her sixth-grade year, Leah (Charity Rose) and her father Jack (Matthew Tarricone), have to make a change with their life in California. After losing her mother and Jack losing his job, a move to Carterville and staying with his sister, Aunt Cynthia (Jaymee Vowell). and brother-in-law, Uncle Beau (Mike Stanley). is the only choice for them. When Jack breaks the news that he will be away working as a fisherman and Leah is staying with his sister, she becomes very upset.

With Leah now having to begin the school year late in the semester at Carterville’s Middle school, she discovers that this year may just be a tough year for her. Here she meets a couple of friends in her sixth-grade class, Tessa (Amelia Salazar), a loner and Marshy (Sean Jay), a nerd, that change her life forever. When she learns about the local folklore from Mr. Bigsby (Jim Johnson), school librarian and local historian, the voyage starts to take off. The namesakes of the town of Carterville, founders Silas (Chris Thiede) and Bob (Austin Von Johnson) Carter stirred up an ancient tale that takes these kids on an exploration of their lives.

Things between the three go in many directions, while chasing three high schoolers to the treasure, brings them in need of some answers. When they talk to Tessa’s Grandma Elise (Julie Oliver-Touchstone), believed to be a local witch, the story begins to move in their favor. But with the many speed bumps along the way, like Marshy’s dad, Mr. Parker (Alfred E. Rutherford), their time may start to run out before they can discover all the clues prior to the conclusion to All Hallow’s Eve.

Directors Drew and Nathan Garcia give us a fun and enjoyable expedition through the magical antiquity that the town of Carterville was based on. Nathan and Drew present a very entertaining storyline that absolutely grabs your attention as their characters travel into a supernatural world to discover the true answer to the town’s past. The Garcia’s put together a believable presentation of special effects to make the chronicle come to life. They used what was needed to perform the necessary tasks to allow the legend to move forward. Along with the wonderful and gratifying performance from the young adults throughout the film, it overshadowed the over-the-top production from the older actors.

If you are a fan of any of the children’s channel movies this quest is definitely for you. Using the same format for all of those stories will help guide you through this undertaking to allow the true narrative to come through. Even with all of that, the account is certainly worth your time to experience.

Final Comment: I based my grade on excellent tale and the execution by the younger performers.
