Ever wonder if there is a national agency that actually does all the dirty work the FBI and the CIA cannot do? In today’s world there is so much security that all of the countries have to find a way to keep things secret. This is where an underground agency can take care of the problems that need to be resolved without anyone knowing about it. Secrecy is important and being off the grid is one way this group must stay to be able to keep us all safe. 
The main character is a regular Joe in his forties, Mike McKenna (Mark Wahlberg) who is living a normal average life in Patterson New Jersey where he grew up and has never left. Still single after all these years and wondering where it all went when he sees after thirty years his high school sweetheart Roxanne Hall (Halle Berry) in his favorite bar. Here is where Mike discovers this underground agency called “The Union” and that he is now needed to help save the world from a nasty villain.
With instruction from Roxanne and Tom Brennan (J. K. Simmons), leader of the mission, he must help the team figure out how to discover where the stolen information is and who is behind it all. Mike now joins a team with field agents, Frank Pfeiffer (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Athena Kim (Alice Lee), Foreman (Jackie Earle Haley), and of course Roxxane. Where they must find a way to discover who has the information and how they can get it before the real danger begins. 
A simple man who still lives with his mother Lorraine McKenna (Lorraine Bracco), Mike is out doing the same things he did his entire life. Working everyday as a skyscraper construction worker and finding available women every night. Still hanging out every night at the local bar with his friends, Bobby Breslin (Patch Darragh), Johnny Healy (James McMenamin), Billy Lewis (Juan Carlos Hernandez), Cameron Foster (Stephen Campbell Moore), and Nicole (Dana Delany), Mike still hasn’t realized that he needs to find something important to do with his life.
Director Julian Farino develops a wonderful funny entertaining film that brings some mystery with lots of action and many laughs along the way. This well directed story includes some nice twists and turns that will give you some surprises to what will happen next. Excellent stunts throughout including some good special effects that grab your attention. An excellent performance by the cast Incorporating the fantastic delivery from Halle and Mark that kept the adventure moving and made you wonder what will happen next. This fun and entertaining tale now playing on Netflix is definitely worth the time to sit back and relax and let Berry and Wahlberg give you a night off with some laughs and pure amusement.
Final Comment: I based my grade on the funny and entertaining storyline along with marvelous performance from the cast.
