‘Trolls Band Together’ A Musical Exploration for Everyone

In the world of Trolls there are many dangers they must face from many different creatures. Throughout their history life can be hard as we learned from their first two installments. In the original, the trolls had to be saved by our heroes from the Bergen invasion on their village. They then found out that the Bergen’s were not really evil, and friendship could endure. Then in the second story the trolls went on a world tour to try and stop the Queen from the hard rock trolls from taking over all of the troll kingdoms. All along knowing that music and laughter were their strengths to making friends and conquering evil.

Now with the wedding of Bergen’s King Gristle (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) to lovely Bridget (Zooey Deschanel) coming close, Queen Poppy (Anna Kendrick), now maid of honor, has her hands full making it a special event for them both. Before the wedding Branch (Justin Timberlake), reminisces about his memories with the boy band BroZone and his long-lost brothers. When Poppy finds him looking through his olds things she discovers that Branch is a BroZone fan also.

As the wedding takes place, the air is filled with excitement as the bride and groom go through with their vows. But before they can complete them, enters John Dory (Eric Andre), who confronts them with a plea for help. Finally, he located his youngest brother Branch, and tries to convince him to help him locate the other brothers and save their brother Floyd (Troye Sivan) from Veneer (Andrew Rannells) and Velvet (Amy Schumer). These popular stars are holding Floyd captive so they can use his essences to create wonderful music, but in return it is destroying his possible existences.

Learning about Branch’s past with his brothers and BroZone, Poppy encourages him to help John Dory save the others. BroZone the band consisted of five brothers, the Oldest was John Dory, the youngest was Branch, then came Spruce, Clay and Floyd. Branch was barely old enough to travel with the band, still a young child when the band broke up. This was devastating to young Branch and he never forgave his brothers from leaving him. Now on the adventure of their lives they run into some interesting characters along the way.

Directors Walt Dohrn, and Tim Heitz put together a fun and entertaining journey that is sure to please the youngsters of the house.  With an excellent back story that leads our heroes on a voyage of discovery and enlightenment that builds up to a great conclusion to the missing pieces that have haunted these wonderful characters.

This story will definitely entertain and bring smiles to your young ones. The musical quest will put joy into your heart and bring back some great memories.

Final Comment: I based my grade on the enjoyable storyline and the lovable characters.
