After five decades and five motion pictures, the Indiana Jones saga is finally coming to its final conclusion. Over the years Lucas Films LTD, and now Walt Disney Pictures have been dazzling many viewers and fans with their spectacular presentations of these films. Starting with the blockbuster hit in 1981, the Raiders of the Lost Ark, this series has been successful with every presentation. Including, The Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusades (1989), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls (2008), and now the Dial of Destiny (2023). This amazing saga has been attracting crowds of all ages to follow this fantastic storyline with our iconic story hero.
While doing his usual searching for artifacts, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), along with doctor Basil Shaw (Toby Jones – The Hunger Games, and Captain America: The First Avenger), find themselves in 1938 Nazi Germany trying to track down an ancient knife. During one of his struggles they come across something remarkable, a portion of the destiny of time, an item that could change history and allow Adolph Hitler to destroy the world as we know it.
Years have passed and Indiana is finishing out his teaching career with the University and he is about to retire. He is also facing a divorce from Marion (Karen Allen) and things are not going as planned after the loss of their son during Vietnam. With the Apollo 11 landing on the moon, the United States is going through a time of celebration, but Indy is not up for celebrating these days.

When the daughter of an old friend appears Helena Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridge – Goodbye Christopher Robin, and Solo: A Star Wars Story), things become a little more exciting. Indy finds out that Helena is running from an old acquaintance from the past, Jurgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen – Fantastic Beasts and the Secrets of Dumbledore), who is after a relic she has in her possession. The adventure heats up and brings them to Morocco where they hire a friend of Sallah (John Rys-Davies – The Lord of the Rings Series), Renaldo (Antonio Banderas), who will sail them to where they need to go, with a very interesting friend of Helena’s, Teddy (Ethann Bergua-Isidore).
With the usual nonstop adventure, director James Mangold manages to put together an outstanding storyline that includes many fantastic action scenes. He also does a spectacular job blending and developing the computer generated imagery, along with other special effects to help make the journey remarkable. With a wonderful presentation by the crew, Harrison Ford of course dazzles us all, but there was also a great performance from Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen. Also I was impressed by James finding ways to bring back previous characters from past films from the series, such as, Sean Connery (Picture on shelf), Marion (Karen Allen), and Sallah (John Rys-Davies).

After a performance by the many talented actors that helped make this production something worth seeing on the big screen, I suggest seeing it in IMAX so you can get the real feeling from this special film. It is definitely a tale that anyone thirteen and over should try and view at your local theater.
Final Comment: I based my grade on incredible performance by the Crew, a phenomenal narrative, and terrific special effects.
Stars 4.5 out of 5
